Gamer Card

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Today was all about creating a couple of birthday cards for a set of twins turnng 14 years old. Feminine cards are quite a bit easier for me than masculine cards. This particular 14 year old young man loves gaming and I had a set from Papertrey Ink called Boy Basics: Game On. Seemed like a no brainer to me. I went to the PTI website to look for inspiration and in the gallery for this stamp set I found a gift bag/ game cover that I basically CASEd and turned it into a card. I didn’t have all PTI product but I improvised and came up with a design that worked. I think the birthday boy will like it!

xboxOther than the stamp set from PTI, I used some Spellbinder pinked circle dies, my MFT pierced circle dies and the little square stamped image I just cut by hand. I popped every circle big and small and then added the rhinestones at the sentiment.

The cardstocks are Basic Black and Real Red, both from SU. I used a silver glitter cardstock scrap I had on hand from a previous project, but I don’t recall where I got it from. Any old silver glitter stock would work here. The inks are Smoky Slate and Real Red, also from SU.

The twins birthday cards are done, yay! (You can see the Pooh Bear card I made for the other twin on my previous post.) I feel accomplished today.

Now it’s time for me to think about my daughter’s graduation card. How did I get old enough to have a my baby graduating college???

Have a fabulous week. I hope you find time to be creative.

Happy Crafting my friends!
