Balloons and Potato Chips

Okay, so my previous post was a balloon card and that led to another balloon card. I’m thinking they’re like Lays potato chips…you can’t have just one, cause my second card just rolled right off the studio work table.

balloons2I’m still playing with my Stamparatus. This time I used it to stamp my sentiment evenly and precisely down my card front using my inks to create the ombre effect. The stamp I used is an older one from Papertrey Ink from their Think Big Favorites line. I think it was #1, Make A Wish. Anyway, to create this I cut my stamp apart separating the “Make A” from the “Wish”. I lined up my “wish” and ran it down the card face getting darker as I went. I only used 3 different ink colors but got 6 different colors. Then I used the “Make A” on top of “Wish” going lighter to darker the other direction. What a fun and pretty fabulous result I got. I love this color shift. A couple more balloons, a few pieces of sequence and done!

Hope you are enjoying my birthday cards! I’m having fun. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Happy Crafting my friends!
